If I was Queen this would be the golden rule for all individuals who have responsibility for any size of collection, whether it’s the Natural History Museum or the local cricket club.

We can provide a collections management plan, simply an inventory of your objects, and advice on storage, cataloguing and display.
- An inventory or audit will ensure you have a record of your objects and their location, so items do not become lost or misplaced.
- Cataloguing will record provenance, historical information and value. This will assist research enquiries, exhibition planning and insurance valuations in the event of loss. In the event of the owners death it will also provide the family with a comprehensive list of the objects and their meaning.
- Storage and preservation advice. This will prolong the life of your objects and protect them from the agents of deterioration.
- Exhibition planning and installation. Practical advice on displaying objects and their protection and interpretation. I’m a practical pair of hands to help with installs and de-installs.
